While the list of hobbies that Matthew has sampled over the years is long enough to cover several pages, these days he has enough work cut out for him being a father and urban farmer. Oh, and a part time law student. Which is at least as hard as being a full time double major undergrad.
Matthew plays Flamenco guitar for dance classes at Stomptown Collective weekly, and also plays a wide variety of other genres (blues, jazz, folk) with his friends with a much lower level of seriousness.
Once in a great while he brews the finest ultra-microbrews in Portland in his garage, and there are usually at least two varieties of his works on hand for sampling should one pay him a visit.
And all summer long he’s out there getting his hands dirty in the urban farm. Fruit trees and shrubs, strawberries, herbs and loads of vegetables are all in a good season’s work at PDXFarm.
